Looking for a boutique hotel this side of Jonker Walk Melaka (Malacca) ??
Settle at the Courtyard@Heeren. Situated on the next road, its quieter than being on Jonker Walk itself, which means you get more sleep and rest after a long hot day sieving through the Portuguese settlement and thronging the Jonker Walk Night market. Best location for a day or night out 🙂 If you stayed on Jonker Walk itself, you will know what i mean, its crazy on a weekend with the mini concert blasting into your hotel room till 12 midnight.
The hotel, converted from a shop house, has modern facilities, its own car park and very friend staff. Tripadvisor rates its the 2nd best hotel in Melaka !!! Â We booked the family suite which essentially has a master bed room and another big room upstairs with 3 beds, sleeping 8 in total comfortably.
One thing though, it has this huge showpiece circular stairway in the middle of the room, which is pretty impressive……until it creaks and croaks every time we step on it. And its pretty often because there is only 1 toilet at the lower level…….8 of us have to get there !!
Well….still better here than most others if you are looking for a boutique hotel in Melaka. The deco in the lobby will give you a peranakan heritage feel….a good start to what this world heritage city is known for……
