Tokyo – Sakura Season 2025. Night Walk with Xiaomi 15 Ultra

As you can tell by now, I have been using the phone extensively. I didn’t go into details about the capabilities of the phone. Why ? because I think no one cares about them. Lol. What people care about will be that I spent this $XXX on the phone, how the pictures turned out ? How easy it is to use the phone as a main street walking camera ?

I actually forgot about this group of photos that I took in April during the Sakura Season. In fact, I didn’t even realised that is Sakura time until my business partner told me about it. Actually, was at the end of the Sakura Season…….Was feeling lazy, until he told me that if I am short of time, I don’t have to head down to Meguro. In fact, stop at Naka-Meguro station which is the start of the walk, right next to the station. Don’t follow google map that tells you to stop somewhere and walk 15 mins to the center before you can see anything.

The weather was horrible when I was there. It’s the irritating kind of rain. Not too heavy, not too light. It’s main aim was to get you grumpy and wet. Put on my rain jacket, my rain cap, waterproof shoes and off I go. Only have 1 day, so I will show you from start to finish how I did.

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Muddy grounds stopping no one. But as you can see, it’s more pleasant to have less crowd. Kind of liking the space when I was there.

Made my way back to Shinjuku station to get to Ebisu. Was told all fashionistas need to go there to tell people how cool they are. Drink some coffee, hang out by the sides, make the way to Omotesando, shop at the luxurious and hippy brands…….. It’s raining for goodness sake !!

Will they be smiling as brightly if they know I am just there ? Probably will get weird looks and a black eye. That’s where the phone shines, people hardly took notice. You probably can recreate this with a 70-200mm or 400mm zoom on a DSLR. But I have to rub it in……… I did it with a phone and not have 5 kg worth of lenses on my shoulders.

What’s with OC On Cloud shoes ? Massive queues everywhere you see them.

I somehow ended back up at Shinjuku Crossing. The famous massive 6 (or was it 8 ? or 10?) junction crossing where all cars stopped for pedestrians to cross in every direction. Kind of confuses me because there must be thousands zig zagging everywhere including the Nintendo karts.

There ! Naka – Sakura. I was waiting till its darker in the evenings. So glad the skies cleared up. Wanted to see the capabilities of low light shots while street walking……. Not total darkness shots, if you think the phone can do miracles…no phone can ! Low light, Low Light, Low Light ! Lol

By the way, I really don’t know these people. Thanks for ending up in my photos. 🙂

So little time……Heading to the Airport, Wonderfully Expensive Sushi Meal to end the Trip !

Damn me….that Otoro Sushi was good !
